Autologous blood therapy against hair loss

An end to hair loss thanks to autologous blood therapy (PRP)

Everything at a glance

How does your own blood help against hair loss?

In my practice I offer a new technique for regenerating scalp hair. The autologous blood therapy (PRP) can produce amazing results after just two to three months. Hair loss is stopped and regrowing hair becomes stronger and thicker. This innovative procedure works with a natural miracle cure – autologous blood.

In the course of PRP therapy (platelet-rich plasma therapy), a small amount of the patient’s own blood is taken and a “buffy coat” (concentration of valuable, hair growth-promoting blood components such as thrombocytes) is obtained using a special procedure. These growth factors are known for their stimulating effects and are a real “fountain of youth” for damaged hair follicles.

By forming new blood vessels, the hair follicles can be supplied with significantly better nutrients to strengthen the hair. Above all, however, the loss can be stopped.

The therapy is carried out at least three times every four weeks to achieve the desired effect.
The best results can be achieved with thin, sparse hair and slight baldness.

Shiny, full hair for a vital, healthy and above all youthful appearance

Our hair goes through various growth cycles, whereby hair that falls out – we lose up to 100 hairs a day – is replaced by new hair.

Various causes, such as medication, infections, fever, deficiency symptoms, hormonal changes (puberty, pregnancy, menopause, stopping the pill), a genetically inherited susceptibility to hair loss in the typical areas (receding hairline, balding forehead) or the natural ageing process can lead to persistent hair loss or “thinning” of the hair in phases.

Excessive hair loss is not only perceived as annoying from a cosmetic point of view, but can also be psychologically stressful.

It is very important to me to devote time to this sensitive topic and to recommend the right hair therapy for you after a thorough diagnosis.

Who is suitable for PRP autologous blood therapy?

The hereditary form of hair loss (androgenetic telogen effluvium) is particularly well suited to PRP therapy, as the smallest vessels around the hair follicle can grow back after just 2-3 months, allowing the substances dissolved in the blood, such as vitamins and trace elements, to reach the hair root much better!

It can be seen by the regrowth of mostly firm, thicker hair in the treated area. Of course, this is also photodocumented for each patient to confirm the progression.

What are the risks and side effects of PRP autologous blood therapy for hair loss?

The great advantage of autologous blood therapy is that it is very well tolerated. As only the patient’s own blood is used in this treatment, there are no side effects or allergic reactions.

However, it is possible that a slight feeling of pressure may occur for 1-2 hours after the treatment. You can wash your hair or shower the following day.

How does hair loss treatment work?

At your first appointment (“hair consultation”), the following will be discussed and examined in detail:

A trichogram (hair root analysis) is then created based on this data.

PRP therapy can then be started immediately if desired. After discussing the blood results (at the second session, after 4 weeks), a hair tincture tailored to the needs of the individual patient is prescribed, depending on the lack of hormones, vitamins or trace elements, which is then applied daily in the evening for several months. The basis of this tincture is always minoxidil, which has been proven to stop hair loss by promoting blood flow to the hair follicles.
